"POTOTAN" IN a Mangrove Forest

"Pototan" belongs to the Rhizophora family of wood growing in a Mangrove Forest.   The root system of the wood we work with grows "flat" radiating away from the trunk horizontally. 

"Pototan" wood characteristics include beautiful grain patterns featuring many different color variations.

Mother Nature  grows each piece creating unique differences  appearance.

Hand sanded & oiled provides a baby smooth finish asking you to "Touch the Wood".

Accents:  we use copper splash,  unique stones,  crystals,  sliced geodes,  colored inlays & metal to add

charisma to some pieces.

How much time does it take to finish a piece???    Labor hours have varied from approximately 20 to 120 hours.
